The cloth measures 12cm x 17cm and is made from 100% cotton cloth.
The cloth is reuseable and designed to last,
These cloths will continue to work so long as they are not washed, as this will damage them. They will become black once you use them, this is the chemical reaction taking place, so you know they are working.

1. Is the Town Talk Gold Polishing Cloth suitable for Gold Plated Jewellery?
These cloths are not suitable to be used on gold plated jewellery, as over time it may wear away the plating.

2. Will the Gold Polishing Cloth polish out small scatches?
Our gold cloth is 100% woven cotton that is impregnated with cleaning and anti-tarnish agents. The main cleaning agent is Jewellers Rouge (which gives the red colouration). Jewellers rouge is an ultra-fine abrasive intended to remove light scratches and polish the surface; it will not remove deep scratches. The cloth works by applying the cleaners to the surface of the gold, allowing them to take effect and leave a smooth finish as the cloth is swept away.

3. Will the Logo on the Town Talk Gold Polishing Cloth scratch my gold?
No, the logo has been printed using special ink so its safe to use either side of the cloth.

4. How long will my Town Talk Gold Polishing Cloth last?
The Polishing cloth will continue to work so long as you don't wash it. As you conitnue to use the cloth it will start to turn black, this is normal and part of the chemical reaction and shows that the cloth is doing its job not just a dirt build up.
Store your cloth in a dry environment and only replace it when they are quite black or if they accidentally get wet or washed.

5. Is my Town Talk Gold Polishing Cloth suitable to use on White Gold Jewellery?
This will depend on whether your white gold jewellery has been rhodium plated or not? Rhodium plating is what give your jewellery that bright white colour of white gold. The rhodium plating is a plated layer over your white gold which wears off over time, this could be accelerated by using the gold polishing cloth, so in these cases we would recommend a microfibre cloth or jewellery wipes. If you have a rhodium plated piece that you wear regularly, like your engagement ring and wedding ring, to keep them looking their sparkly best its recommended to take them to your jeweller annually to have your claws and settings checked and then re rhodium plated.
If your white gold piece has a soft yellowish tone and has not been rhodium plated then these pieces are suitable to use the gold polishing cloth.
